Tonight’s meditation: THE ISRAELITE PROPHET ELISHA CAN TELL THE KING OF ISRAEL THE VERY WORDS YOU SPEAK IN YOUR BEDROOM. So from this passage it is clear that the gift of prophecy is more than a “sooth saying” but an actual word of knowledge given from the Lord. This knowledge isn’t man made or from some foul spirit; but it is knowledge from and of the living God. He is the one who is present everywhere and is eternal; and who isn’t bound by time or space as we are. God told Elisha the words the Kings who were fighting against Israel spoke in their bedrooms. Words of strategy and timing; to protect Israel from harm. He is still doing the same thing today; protecting His remnant church and people from harm. Giving them words and guidance to help them remain centered on Him. Preparing them financially and also physically. We serve an awesome God and He will not be outwitted, outnumbered, or out done by any creature He has made. He is the creator and from the dust of the earth He formed us.
