Today’s Meditation: HE LAID HIS HANDS ON HIM AND COMMISSIONED HIM. Moses was informed by the Lord that his time was up in the land. It was at this point that the Lord had him choose Joshua to be his replacement. He was to lead the Israelites into the promised land, Conquer the land and be a Shepherd to them. The Lord directed Moses to lay his hands on Joshua to give him some of his power. There is power that comes from abiding in the presence of God. It is tangible and unmistakable. It shifts the environment of rooms and lays upon the place like a holy mist. We would describe this as the Holy Spirit. Did you know this power was transferable? You can delegate what you have to others. The Spirit is willing but the flesh is weak. What is the Spirit asking you to do? Is there someone He wants you to minister His power to; to elevate and transform their life? Let us pray about this today. 🙏

Today’s meditation: IT DOES NOT REST! As people of God we need to rest in Him alone and our spirits do not rest until they rest in Him. On this Monday of lent we pray for That perfect Rest. In the abiding presence of the blessed Trinity. We pray to gather others into this same Rest. Where He can perfect our activity in Him. Amen 🙏  Today’s meditation: DO NOT FEAR HIM! Sometimes we fight against flesh and blood 🩸 and we attempt to reason with the unreasonable. But the Lord is reminding us here to not fear him that you fight against. He is with us after all. And we do not really fight against flesh and blood but against the powers and principalities and dominions of this world. But do not fear him. For God is with you. And the victory is His. 🙏  Today’s Meditation: FORGIVE THIS PEOPLE THEIR INIQUITY! Moses was an intercessor. I know many people say they do not need an intercessor between God and themselves, but let me remind you that that isn’t true according to Gods word. As we see in the first books of the Bible, it is clear from Abraham to Moses that all of Gods friends interceded for the people. Mary, the Mother of God, is an intercessor; as clearly seen in The wedding of Cana. She told the Lord that they have no wine. Although, Our Lord clearly stated it wasn’t His time to show His miracles; He obeyed His mother. Mary did not tell Him what to do, or how to solve the problem; she just made Him aware of the problem and He listened to her and solved the issue His way! The people of God have always had intercessors before Him. Like Moses who begged for the peoples lives, even though they disobeyed God and refused to enter the promised land. Sometimes we need an intercessor, especially when you are on the judgement seat before God. 🙏  Today’s meditation: I WILL BE YOUR PORTION AND YOUR HERITAGE! Aaron was of the priestly class of the Israelites. He was before the Lord daily offering sacrifice for the people to make atonement for their sins. The sons of Levi, the Levites assisted with the care of the sanctuary but did not offer the sacrifice. For those who have an intimate union with God, Like Aaron and the priestly class, the Lord wants you all for Himself. You will have no portion or heritage in the land because you are His. And He is the fulfillment of all things; in Him there is no lack. Just ask the people in Asbury who are basking in His glory and love for hours at a time. 🙏  Today’s mediation: IF THERE ARE PROPHETS AMONG YOU, IN VISIONS I REVEAL MYSELF TO THEM, IN DREAMS I SPEAK TO THEM! Wow 🤩 so if you don’t think that God is listening to our conversations and paying attention to our questions, I tell you He is! Doesn’t this answer yesterdays question better than any of us could?! He is awesome! Look at that! The Lord confirms in His own word the very next day - that He does speak to prophets in dreams and visions! I am really pleased to know God is here among us and watches even our conversations. Thank you Jesus! Let us also take note of the rest of His word. But my servant Moses I speak to face to face, he is worthy of my trust, he hears my voice. Amen 🙏 Let us all humble ourselves that He may speak to us! Have a great day everyone!  Tonight meditation: WHEN MOSES ENTERED THE TENT OF MEETING! What did Moses do? He listened to the voice of the Lord. The Lord spoke to him. In the tent of meeting. The Lord says we must Love Him and love our neighbors (each other) as ourselves (as we want to be loved/respected/honored). First and foremost God is relational. He died for each one of us, because we are all sinners and need a savior. That is a good place to start for all of us. Forgive us Father for we have sinned. Today as we begin our Lenten journey let us take heed to the words of the early church fathers and repent and return to the gospel. 🙏Peace  Todays meditation: ABSTAIN FROM WINE AND STRONG DRINK! When you dedicate yourself to the Lord as a Nazarene you must abstain from wine and strong drink. During Lent we desire to Follow the Lord more closely and imitate Him along His path of suffering and sacrifice. From Holy Thursday, where Jesus shared his last meal with His disciples, until His last moment on the cross, He abstained from wine. So to pick up our crosses and Follow Him, can be as simple as abstaining from wine during lent. All that we give up is in order to draw nearer to Him and to offer up as a sacrifice for ourselves and others. This is what a watchman in the gap does. Pray about what the Lord is calling you to abstain from this lent in order to dedicate yourself to the Lord. 🙏  Tonight’s meditation: THEY BELONG TO ME! In the book of the numbers the Lord counts all the people And all the men over aged 20 Are made to stand with their tribes and be counted. This includes the priests or the Levites which He describes as His first fruits. It is interesting to me as the Lord doesn’t leave a single detail uncovered. He knows all of the details of our life and He counts all the the people in our tribe. We count to Him. Not one strand of your head has not been counted by Him. He is detail oriented and so must we be; let’s not count the cost or lose count of those in our tribe. It os great to stand among such a company of soldiers such as this one. God bless all the Onesmallflame members; God counts all that we do for His glory! 🙏  Daily meditation: THAT YOU MAY DWELL SECURELY IN THE LAND! While completing the book of Leviticus today it is clear that the Lords promises of protection and blessing relies upon our obedience to His word. Not only that but disobedience to the Lord leads to pestilence, famine the sword and natural disasters. So we need to obey the Lord, keep His commands, be holy as He is holy in order to receive His blessing of protection and peace and to live securely in the land. We can not continue to go on sinning and expect that God will not send His divine justice and judgement. This too is His mercy sent to wake up a sleeping nation, slopping in its own defilement, and to bring it back to Him. True repentance of heart and sincere revival. 🙏  |

Finances and tithing:
Also remember to tithe to the Lord! This is extremely important to Him. He will give to you to steward His finances as He knows that you already steward well what He has given you. And putting Him first in the finances; giving Him dominion and reign there, trusting in Him like a child trusts their Father knowing He will provide for you! All of this is so important.
It is all about the heart!
Make sure you give unto Cesar what is Cesar’s and give unto God what is Gods!
