January 9th / Today's Reflection

​Noah alone was righteous on the earth. Todays meditation:  you alone are righteous.  Let’s meditate on the righteousness of God who alone is righteous.  Noah was a forerunner of Christ in that He represented His righteousness. And Noah’s act of faith and building the ark to save humanity and all the living creatures from extinction is what Jesus did too when He built Mary to be the ark of the new covenant to save His people from their sins.  She is the vessel and the safe ship He chose to dwell in for 40 weeks prior to His birth.  Just as Noah and his descendants remained in the ark for 10 months prior to landing on the mountain of Ararat. 
Because of her fiat, her yes to God; He was born and redeemed humanity from its sins.  How can we become righteous like Noah? How can we become favored like Mary?  In the gospels Jesus tells us we can do nothing apart from Him.  Let us continue to walk in faith and hope this year seeking Gods will and unity with Him.  For apart from Him, we can do nothing. 🙏

​The rainbow is a sign of God’s covenant with man to never destroy the earth and its inhabitants by flood again.  A covenant is legally binding and more than a promise.  God’s word is infallible.  When He makes a promise, He keeps it and you can depend on Him.  He is righteous in every way.  Tonight’s meditation:  a sign of my covenant.
