1/12/23: Todays reading is from Genesis chapter 16-18. We have begun to read the Bible in a year. We started January 7th, 2023! Everyday we should read three chapters of the Bible starting in Genesis and ending in Revelation. Everyday I will share a verse from a chapter that we can meditate or chew on in the morning and evening. Everyone is welcome to join in with words/visions or dreams that the Lord is giving you especially pertaining to the chapters we are covering. The purpose of this exercise is to remain in a state of prayer and oneness with God so that we become His glory carriers, His friends and therefore also His intercessors for our neighbors. To be counted righteous as Abraham and also to be counted as His friend. Todays meditation is from chapter 16. GOD HEARS! Sometimes we don’t felt heard by those around us; think about the goodness of God who hears everything; He hears you in your distress and He hears you when you laugh or speak. He knows all your thoughts and the intentions of your heart be they good or bad. He hears your cry and has counted and collected your tears as a sacrificial offering to the Father. No suffering is lost. This particular verse I believe the Lord is leading us to chew on. Chew all the juice from it. Everyone is free to do as the Lord leads them. If you want a bigger morsel to chew on then do that as well. In the practice of Lexio Divina it is usually a small phrase or even just a word that needs to be focused on as the meditation for that day. I hope this blesses you all going forward! 🙏 Tonight’s meditation: IS THERE ANYTHING TOO HARD FOR THE LORD? For with God nothing is impossible. This is the lesson that Abraham and Sarah learned by patiently waiting for their promise. It came in Gods perfect timing, not in their timing and not by their interference or action either. It came despite them. When all natural options for having a baby were exhausted and the two of them were too old to naturally conceive and bear children; only then did the Lord act. So that man would not receive the glory at all, but recognize the blessing as being completely and utterly dependent upon God. This is how God works. To Him alone be the glory! 🙏
