Tonight’s meditation: I WILL BE LOWLY IN YOUR EYES! David captured the heart of God as he was a man after His own heart! So what does that mean? What did Jesus say? Whoever is the greatest among you, must be the servant of the rest. The key is humility. This is the key to the King of Kings heart. ❤️David didn’t care that his wife despised him for dancing with abandon before the ark of the covenant. He was honoring and worshipping God with all his heart. He was somebody in the eyes of the slave girls. I think it is interesting and a parallel also and a foreshadowing of Mary the mother of God, as the true ark of the covenant. So Mary referred to herself as the handmaid of the Lord, but in the original Greek it was actually the word for slave; slave of the Lord. And if David danced before the ark of the covenant which is actually, Mary the theotokus; who referred to herself as slave; then he was actually prophetically declaring something here. He cared more to be something in the eyes of Mary! 🙏
