Matthew 25:1-4


The 5 Wise virgins had oil for their lamps for they were waiting for their masters return and they didn’t know the day nor the hour, only that he was returning at some time in the future.  So when the time came and the call came announcing His return, they were prepared!  They had oil in their lamps and were prepared to meet Him and greet Him with their lamps full! Their lamps were full of His oil of gladness and their lights were lit and shining for all to see.  Let the joy of the Lord be your strength and His oil of gladness be your portion!  "You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions." -Psalms 45:7 NKJV

Today the Lord spoke to me to be a light in the darkness.  To keep our lamps bright and to shine His light in the darkness!  It is the oil of intimacy and knowledge of Him which brings about this oil.  We can’t get it on our own.  It isn’t for sale, we can’t get it from our neighbors, and we can’t wait til the last minute to get it.  This is a work in progress, it comes from a daily friendship with Him, which we walk out with the Lord as we seek Him and His companionship. Seek Him today while He can be found all you nations all around, and all you people seek the Lord!  "He shall receive blessing from the Lord, And righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him, Who seek Your face. Selah" -Psalms 24:5-6 NKJV

Many are called but few are chosen.  To be the bride of Christ is a responsibility, to look forward to His return and to seek Him; to be prepared and to have oil ready in our vessels, to have our lamps shining in the darkness so we can follow Him.  Remember it is the shepherd that anoints His sheep with oil!  It is for protection and also because you are His! He cares for you!  He prepares you! You can trust in Him as your provider and your portion.  "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over."

May we burn bright with the oil of His gladness, always ready to share the gospel of peace.  May His hearts desire for souls also burn within our hearts and may our hearts beat as one.  May the Father’s will be done in each of our lives on earth as it is in heaven!  And may Jesus protect us,
guide us, keep us and bring us to His eternal home, when we have completed our earthly journey.
